Falun Gong Practitioner Mr. Shi Xiaochun in Heilongjiang Province Sentenced to Forced Labour Five Times

Mr. Shi Xiaochun in Jidong County, Jixi City, Heilongjiang Province, has been repeatedly persecuted since the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) started persecuting Falun Gong in July 1999. He was put in forced labour camps five times. Each time, it was reported on Clearwisdom.net. The following article describes how police officer Qi Dongquan from Jidong County Domestic Security Division put Mr. Shi into the forced labour camp for the fifth time.

Around 7:00 p.m. one day in April 2008, several policemen from Jidong County Domestic Security Division arrested Mr. Shi Xiaochun at his home. They ransacked the place and took him to Qianjin Police Station in Jidong County. From there, they transferred him to the Domestic Security Division office to be interrogated. Policeman Qi Dongquan ordered Mr. Shi to give him the names of other practitioners, but Mr. Shi refused. Qi slapped Mr. Shi in the face and later started kicking his head after his hand got tired. Police tied Mr. Shi’s hands behind his back and forced him to sit on the floor so that they could kick him easily. They rested when they got tired, and then resumed the abuse after a while. Qi said, “I am using this beating as exercise, so that I don’t have to jog every day.” After two hours of beating Mr. Shi, Qi was totally exhausted and stopped. They got nothing out of Mr. Shi and put him in a detention centre at 11:00 p.m.

Two days later, Qi interrogated Mr. Shi again and brought two “witnesses” to identify him. He told the witnesses to stand three feet away and point at Mr. Shi. He took several pictures of the “identification” scene from different angles. Two days later, Qi showed Mr. Shi a dozen pictures and transcripts of the witnesses' statements. Qi claimed, “This evidence can easily get you sentenced to five years in prison. I can bet you my job for at least five years. You’d better just admit it to avoid trouble. There are people who have been executed without any admission of guilt because there were witnesses and evidence. For you, whether you admit to anything or not, you will get five years in prison.”

Mr. Shi was interrogated three times and beaten during each interrogation. He was later taken to Suihua City Forced Labour Camp, though he didn’t admit guilt. This is the fifth time that he has been put in a forced labour camp.

It was later found out and verified that Mr. Shi’s arrest was the result of a malicious report made by Chai Liming, director of Mingde Police Station in Jidong County.
