Practitioner Mr. Yu Zhujiang was sentenced to ten years in prison in 2009. He was taken to the No. 11 section at Baoding Prison, where he was once handcuffed to a tree for refusing to do hard labour.
In order to try to force him to give up his belief in Falun Gong, the guards took Mr. Yu to the No. 20 section in 2010 and brutally tortured him. Then, they ordered six inmates to closely monitor him around the clock and not let him talk to anyone. The instructor also instigated inmates to take turns beating Mr. Yu every day. As a result, his face became swollen and was covered with bruises.
