Officers from the Jiaozhou 610 Office (an organisation of special agents just for persecuting Falun Gong) and the police department in Shandong Province intend to sentence Falun Gong practitioners Ms. Song Guixiang, Ms. Li Yuzhen, Ms. Song Guilan, and Mr. Song Yongzhan on April 23rd.
On the afternoon of March 23rd, police from Jiaozhou City Police Department took four practitioners into custody. They detained them at different locations and did not allow their families to visit them. The four practitioners held hunger strikes to protest the persecution for one month and their families are worried about their safety; they are still detained.
Ms. Song Guixiang and Ms. Song Guilan are both sixty-seven years old. They were outstanding teachers in Qingdao and dedicated their lives to education. They trained many students in Qingdao. They developed heart disease, rheumatoid arthritis and other diseases. After they started practising Falun Gong, all their diseases disappeared. They both regained new lives.
Mr. Li Yuzhen, 68, is a retired worker. After he started practising Falun Gong, he understood that this was the truth that he had been looking for everywhere. He followed the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance in his daily life.
Mr. Song Yongzhan, age 56, worked in agricultural planting products and exports. After he started to practise Falun Gong, addiction to medicine, alcoholism and other bad habits that he had formed over many years were removed. At his work he traded fairly and never cheated others, so his business was very prosperous. In 2010, his 90-year-old father developed lung cancer and vomited blood for fifteen days. Unable to cure him, the doctor sent him home. Later he started listening to the recordings of Falun Gong teachings and regained his health.
Since the communist regime began persecuting Falun Gong, Song Guixiang and her husband Li Yuzhen have had their home ransacked six or seven times. Their wages were also confiscated. Their youngest daughter Li Xue was persecuted in 2006 because she distributed leaflets exposing the persecution; she was sentenced to seven years in prison. She is detained at Jinan Women's Prison. During the New Year in 2011, Ms. Song Guixiang went to Beijing to appeal for her deducted wages. The police followed her, taking her into custody.
