Mr. Liu Xiaohua's Legs Broken by Brutal Torture
Collaborating with Shixian County Police Station, police from the Domestic Security Division of the Tumen City Police Bureau in Yanbian Autonomous Prefecture secretly monitored Mr. Liu Xiaohua, a practitioner in Shixian County. On March 3rd, 2011, they planned to harass Mr. Liu, however when they knocked on his door, no one answered, so they left. In order to cover up what they did, the officers did not allow his family to visit him. Mr. Liu is currently detained in Houanshan Detention Centre of Tumen City.
Before the 2011 Chinese New Year, Mr. Liu Xiaohua had gone to the office of the Domestic Security Division of Tumen City Police Bureau, asking for the release of the arrested practitioners. After several rounds of requests, the police returned most of Mr. Zheng's personal belongings, which they had taken.
Mr. Zheng's family was not allowed to visit him until after he recovered from the torture. He was in very poor health after the torture, staggered while walking, and vomited frequently. His family is very concerned about his health.
When both families went to the Domestic Security Division of the Tumen City Police Bureau to ask for an explanation about the torture, Zhou Hong, director of Domestic Security Division, refused to tell them his true identity. He lied to them, saying that he was only a police officer, and refused to tell them his name. The family members told him that they would sue the police for torture. Zhou roared, “If you dare, go ahead and sue the Tumen City Domestic Security Division. You can go to wherever you want to sue!”
