Ms. Lou Caihua Subjected to Cruel Torture At Liaoning Women's Prison

Ms. Lou Caihua from Lingyuan City, Liaoning Province was arrested in February 2008. She was then sentenced to an eight-year prison term. She is currently detained at the No. 8 Ward in Liaoning Women's Prison. In the prison, Ms. Lou wanted to appeal. When her appeal letter was submitted to the prison authorities, it was rejected and returned to her. Under the instigation of guards, Ms. Lou was subjected to cruel beatings by other prisoners at the prison.

Liaoning Province Women's Prison is located at Pingluo Township in Yuhong District, Shenyang City. It's torture of Falun Gong practitioners has been exposed on the Minghui website (Chinese version of Clearwisdom.net), including Wards No. 2 and No. 8. The No. 10 Ward does work manufacturing clothing, which involves very intensive labor. Guards from the No. 10 Ward lure inmates into torturing practitioners by promising to reduce their prison terms.

Ms. Lou was detained in the No. 3 Team of No. 10 Ward. Because she refused to give up her belief, guard Zhang Yanru instigated Chen Fengyun, who was the prisoner in charge and other prisoners to cruelly beat her. As a result, she was seriously injured. Her body was covered with bruises. The means that Chen uses to torture practitioners are very cruel, and included stuffing stinky socks into Ms. Lou's mouth. Zhang Yanru confiscated the 600 cash¹ that Ms. Lou's husband was trying to pass on to his wife through her. He also gave Zhang 2,000 yuan for the sake of saving Ms. Lou from suffering that much. Ms. Lou is still detained and subject to maltreatment. An Rui, the team leader of No. 10 Ward, had ordered inmates Wang Jingyan, Shen Xiaoli, and Zhang Baozhen to torture Ms. Lou, saying that as long as they did not end up breaking her arms or legs, they could beat her as much as they wanted. As a result, they first ripped Ms. Lou's bedding cover into strips, and then used the strips to tie her to a heating facility, so that she could not stand up or squat down. They also stuffed a dirty cloth into her mouth, and put her in solitary confinement for 20 days. During that period, they deprived her of sleep and use of a toilet. In addition, during the day, they only gave her very little porridge in the mornings to eat.
