Communist Regime Agents Take 62-Year-Old Ms. Li Zhongming to a Brainwashing Facility in an Ambulance

Around 5:00 p.m. on July 15th, 2011, an ambulance stopped 20 metres away from Ms. Li Zhongming's home in Luzhou, Sichuan Province. Ms. Li was seen being carried down from the fourth floor by two men, shoved into the ambulance, and restrained on a stretcher inside it.

On July 15th, Ms. Li was alone at home when a uniformed police officer and more than a dozen plainclothes officers broke into her home. They urged her to go with them, claiming they were going to “study.” Ms. Li refused to leave with them, so two men dragged her down the stairs.

Her family went to the Gaoba Police Station to demand her release, but officer Yang Jianguo refused to disclose her whereabouts.

The parties suspected of participating in the arrest of Ms. Li included officers from the Gaoba Police Station, Longmatan District 610 Office agents (an organisation of special agents just for persecuting Falun Gong), and personnel from the Luzhou Chemical Plant and the community.

Ms. Li was subjected to verbal abuse, humiliation and mental pressure at the brainwashing facility

Ms. Li was carried on a stretcher to Room 7 on the third floor of the brainwashing centre. Yang and Yu were assigned to monitor her.

The two played videos slandering Falun Gong daily and forced Ms. Li to watch. Afterward she was forced to write her thoughts. Ms. Li wrote “Falun Gong is good” and explained the facts about Falun Gong to the staff in the brainwashing facility. The staff hysterically cursed and threatened her, calling her “anti-Party” and saying, “You're counterrevolutionary,” and other things.

The brainwashing centre officials called in a middle-school teacher who used to practise qigong in an attempt to “reform” [forcibly renounce Falun Gong] Ms. Li. They also called in a woman from the Luzhou Buddhist Association. Ms. Li refused to listen to their crooked theories.

The Political and Judiciary Committee head “teaches” Ms. Li to write the three statements

Ms. Li recalled, “On July 28th, they made me sit on a chair to write the three statements to renounce practising Falun Gong. I refused, so those ones who monitored me deprived me of my noon nap, and made me sit from 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.”

The person in charge of the brainwashing centre is Yan Xiaoqiang, Longmatan District Political and Judiciary Committee head. He has been involved in persecuting detained practitioners. Ms. Li said, “When I refused to write (the three statements), the ones who monitored me abused me physically several times a day. Around 8:00 p.m. on July 29th, Yan Xiaoqiang arrived with Wan Jiabin, who retired from the Luzhou Chemical Plant and worked as Party secretary at the family compound's Huagongyuan Residential area. The two grabbed my hand and wrote on a piece of paper 'Guarantee Statement.' They proceeded to force me to sign it and put my fingerprints on it. They then threatened me, 'If you don't write the three statements, we will make copies of this [with your signature] and put them up in the corridor of your apartment and surrounding buildings and the residences of your fellow practitioners. We will also send it to the Minghui/Clearwisdom website, telling them you're a traitor, so that your fellow practitioners will curse you. If you write [the three statements], we will keep it a secret.'”

Li continued, “On July 30th, Yan Xiaoqiang came to me several times a day to try to force me to write the three statements. He said, 'If you don't write it, I'll 'teach' you how to write it.' He made me sit on a chair close to a table, and then he leaned on me from behind with his chest so heavily that I was unable to raise my head. He took my hand and made my fingers hold a pen, then clenched my hand tightly to make me write the 'three statements.' I was made to write three copies, and after completing each copy, he grasped my hand to put my fingerprints on it. After everything was done, he left. I cried. My hands, the back of my hands, and my fingers hurt for several days because Yan Xiaoqiang used so much force.”
