After starting the practice of Falun Gong, Ms. Tian Guiting became healthy and kind. In order to help more people benefit, she told everyone about the goodness of Falun Gong. On June 17th, 2011, she was arrested by officers from the Longfeng Police Department and detained for two weeks. She was arrested again on September 5rd, which was her sixth arrest since 1999.

Ms. Tian Guiting's six arrests:

1. Ms. Tian was arrested by officers from the Ziqiang Police Station of Longfeng Police Department as she was practising the Falun Gong exercises outdoors on February 27th, 2000. She was detained in Dongfeng Detention Centre, where she was forced to bend over at a 90-degree angle with her arms and legs straight (“Flying an Airplane”) for about 40 minutes. She was released on March 21st, 2000, and fined 10,000 yuan¹.

2. She went to Beijing to appeal against the persecution of Falun Gong on December 22nd, 2000. She sat beside another practitioner, but they didn't talk. A plainclothes policeman asked what they were doing. They did not have a chance to say anything before being pushed into a police vehicle. She was taken to a police station in Beijing and forced to sit on a hard stool with her back straight for more than 40 hours. The outside door was left open and it was about 30 degrees below zero. Later, she was sent to a detention centre in a town in Hebei Province. She was detained there for more than a month. She was released after being fined 3000 yuan.

3. On the afternoon of June 25th, 2004, Ms. Tian went to the Xiaoye BBQ and the Tianheyuan Internet Bar in New Dongfeng Village, Daqing, to distribute Falun Gong materials. She was spotted by Xu Yanwu, manager of the Xiaoye BBQ. After Ms. Tian got on bus #355, Xu followed the bus in his car and reported her to the police. Hu Xuezhong, chief of the Dongan Police Station of Saertu District Police Department, and other officers stopped the bus and arrested Ms. Tian. They took her to the Daqing Detention Centre and then got her admitted to the Heilongjiang Women Drug Rehabilitation Centre for one year.

4. She was taken away by plainclothes police, who waited in front of the building where she lived, on March 19th, 2007. They grabbed her key and ransacked her home. She was detained for more than 20 days.

5. Ms. Tian was reported to the police for talking to people about Falun Gong near Longfeng Stadium in Daqing on the morning of June 17th, 2011. She was detained in the Daqing First Detention Centre and released on July 2nd, 2011.

6. She was arrested again for talking to people about Falun Gong on September 5th, 2011. She is now in the Daqing First Detention Centre. The police intend to persecute her more severely.
