School teacher and Former Principal Ms. Yang Guizhi Tried in Chifeng City, Inner Mongolia

Ms. Yang Guizhi is an award-winning teacher in the Yuanbaoshan District Ethnic Middle School of Chifeng City, Inner Mongolia. On September 22nd, 2011, she was put on trial and framed by the Yuanbaoshan District Court.

On May 12th, 2011, four Falun Gong practitioners, Ms. Yang Guizhi and Ms.Yang Guihua (sisters) and Mr. Yu Shulin and Ms. Ren Suxiang (husband and wife) went to Ongniud Banner Police Station and spoke to Liu Caijun of the State Security Unit, asking for unconditional release of fellow practitioner Ms. Ren Suying. Liu Caijun not only turned a deaf ear to the practitioners’ request and kind persuasion, but also detained them. Ms. Yang Guihua, Mr. Yu, and Ms. Ren have since been transferred to a forced labour camp in another city for intensified persecution.

Ms. Yang Guizhi was tried on September 22nd, at the Yuanbaoshan District Court. The prosecutor was the Yuanbaoshan District Procuratorate, which is controlled by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). They listed many examples of falsified evidence fabricated by the procuratorate and framed Ms. Yang with a groundless crime. Ms. Yang's family hired a lawyer who tried very hard to present the facts for Ms. Yang in court. Ms. Yang also defended herself and pled innocent.

However, all parties in the CCP’s judicial system were determined to sentence Ms. Yang heavily. Ms. Yang’s daughter, who does not practise Falun Gong cultivation, was unable to bear such a heavy blow. She developed arrhythmia, and became very pale and weak. Physically and mentally distressed, she could not return to work as usual. Ms. Yang’s husband, equally anguished, also fell ill and was hospitalized.
