Over 100 Practitioners Being Held in Weinan Prison, Shaanxi Province

Weinan Prison in Shaanxi Province, also called the Shaanxi Province Second Prison, is located in the middle part of No. 118, Letian Street, Weinan City. It was a prison for major criminal offenders. Since the persecution of Falun Gong started, practitioners have also been held there.

All practitioners sentenced in Shaanxi Province are sent to Weinan Prison, which is currently housing over a hundred practitioners. The special ward for newcomers holds around 30 to 50 practitioners at a time. The guard in charge is Mou (given name unknown).

In the No. 1 Ward, more than a dozen practitioners were held there individually, including Mr. Wang Weidong (Xi'an City), Mr. Li Huicheng (Baoji City), Mr. She Chengbang (Hanzhong City, his wife is being held at the Shaanxi Province Woman’s Prison), and Mr. Zhou Biao (Xi'an City). All of them were tortured physically and mentally and their basic human rights were restricted.

Some practitioners have been held in a small cell for a long time, including Mr. Han Xu and others, and they are not allowed to contact each other. All their freedoms have been restricted.

The guards have ordered major criminal offenders to torture practitioners. These inmates comply enthusiastically in order to get their terms reduced.
