On October 25th, the Anping County Court held a session for Ms. Wang Fang. The prosecutor presented false charges against her.
Ms. Wang was taken away by Sun Yihe, Wang Dan and other policemen from the Anping Police Department while she was working on June 22nd. The police confiscated her computer, mobile phone, and other personal items.
To gain entrance to her home, police removed the door completely. They then took possession of a computer, an MP4 player and other property.
Ms. Wang was detained in the Anping Detention Centre. In court, she was accused on the trumped-up charge of “destroying evidence”. Sun Yihe tried to force Ms. Wang to answer where her printer was, then suggested that she could be released after she gave a clear explanation. In actuality, Ms. Wang did not even own a printer.
Sun Yihe also threatened to arrest Ms. Wang's mother and make her younger brother and father lose their jobs if Ms. Wang could not explain the whereabouts of the phantom printer. The prosecutor then formally charged her with “destroying evidence”.
Ms. Wang's mother was very sad after hearing the news. Ms. Wang has gradually lost weight and become emaciated. Friends have offered their help in hiring an attorney for her.
On October 25th, at the scheduled court appearance, the public prosecutor accused Ms. Wang of using her computer to surf the Internet and start a blog which she used to write a personal diary and communicate with friends.
Ms. Wang's website shows images of a lotus, a Buddha and young children. There is nothing or unethical on the site. When her attorney was made aware of this, he submitted a plea of not guilty for his client.
Ms. Wang Fang's mother has asked others to help rescue her daughter, as she is worried for her health and safety.
