In the early morning of May 13th, practitioners gathered outside Forrest Chase located in downtown Perth. After setting up their displays, several of the practitioners demonstrated the Falun Gong exercises while others talked to passersby about the exercises, the principles of the practice, and the ongoing persecution in China.
The demonstration attracted many people. A young Chinese commented, “I know about the persecution of Falun Gong in China very well. When the persecution started, I was still very young.” He said that he knew the practice was good.
An older lady said that she also did meditation and was fascinated by the demonstration. She said, “The golden yellow suits and peaceful music are very attractive, and people want to find out what they are doing. They (practitioners) must be very good at meditation because they are able to stay concentrated on the busy street.”
A Irish tourist told a practitioner, “I saw Falun Dafa in Dublin, and I believe that this practice is very good.”
During the celebration, the practitioners also performed a Dragon Dance and played the waist drums.
