United States: Senate of the State of Texas Issues Proclamation Commending Falun Dafa

May 13th, 2012 marked the 20th anniversary of the introduction of Falun Dafa to the public and the 13th World Falun Dafa Day. In honour of this special day, Senate of the State of Texas issued the following proclamation to commend the Southern USA Falun Dafa Association on its many achievements and extend best wishes for a memorable World Falun Dafa Day.

Whereas, The Senate of The State of Texas is pleasure join the Southern USA Falun Dafa Association and citizens across the Dallas- Fort Worth Metroplex in celebrating May 13, 2012 as World Falun Dafa Day; and

Whereas, Falun Dafa is a peaceful self-improvement practice, founded by Master Li Hongzhi, that honors the universal principles of truthfulness, compassion, and forbearance rooted in the philosophies of ancient Chinese culture, it uses gentle exercises to help people improve their health and spiritual well-being; and

Whereas, since its introduction in China 20 years ago, Falun Dafa has helped millions of people from all walks of life achieve health and serenity; and

Whereas, Falun Dafa was introduced to the Metroplex in 1996, and its advocates have taken part in many community events; this year’s local celebration of World Falun Dafa Day will take place May 6, 2012, at Russell Creek Park in Plano; now, therefore, be it

Proclaimed, That the Senate of the State of Texas hereby commend the Southern USA Falun Dafa Association on its many achievements and extend best wishes for a memorable World Falun Dafa Day; and be it further

Proclaimed, That a copy of this Proclamation be prepared in honor of this special day.
