Germany: Introducing Falun Gong in Regensburg

On June 30, 2012, Falun Gong practitioners held an Information Day in Regensburg, Germany to introduce Falun Gong and expose the Chinese Communist Party's (CCP) brutal persecution of the practice in China.

Regensburg, beside the Danube river, is the oldest city in Germany. It traces its origins back to around 400 BC. Although Regensburg has experienced more than two thousand years of sometimes turbulent history and was bombed during World War II, most of this old city is preserved perfectly, and it was chosen as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2006. Because of its ancient history and picturesque landscape, Regensburg is also a popular tourist destination.

Despite it being the hottest day since the beginning of summer, many visitors came to the Falun Gong practitioners’ information site, viewed the posters exposing the CCP’s persecution of Falun Gong in China and signed a petition against the persecution.

After learning of the CCP’s atrocities of organ harvesting from living Falun Gong practitioners, people could hardly believe that it was true. Some people said, “You are great, that’s what you should do [expose the persecution]!” “We hope the persecution will end soon!” “We wish you success!”

A middle-aged German woman looked for a long time at the posters exposing the persecution. She told a practitioner that when she heard the exercise music, she felt completely comfortable and relaxed. Because she had studied Qigong in the past, she thought that Falun Gong must be good. She also said that she would tell her friends about Falun Gong and ask them to sign the online petition protesting the CCP's persecution of Falun Gong.

An older couple, after listening to a Chinese practitioner’s introduction to Falun Gong, received a paper lotus flower before they left. The woman said to her, “When I see this lotus flower, I will remember you.”

Several young people passed by the Falun Gong exercise demonstration. One of them took a leaflet and began to read. He said suddenly, “Wait, look at what has happened!” After learning the facts, all of the young people signed the petition to help stop the persecution. One of them said that his friend works in the European Union and he would tell this person about the persecution of Falun Gong.
