In the past I didn't completely believe in Master and the Fa. Though I knew this mentality was not right, deep down I felt that way. I had read many times in Minghui Weekly and in experience sharing articles about practitioners asking Master for help when they were in dangerous situations, yet I was at a stage where I only read about others' experiences and did not have a deeper understanding or think much about it.
However, an incident that took place on the morning of May 3, 2012, completely changed my thinking. This is what happened: I was painting a heating pipe at my home. Because the position of the pipe was very high, and I could not reach it even on a ladder, I stood right underneath it and stretched my arm as high as I could, but it was still too high to reach, and I could only paint the bottom part of the pipe with the brush. At one point, a drop of the aluminium thermal paint fell into my eye. Though it was only one drop, in that split second it felt as if a needle was piercing through my eye. Out of desperation I shouted, “Master, help! Master, help!”
After I shouted twice, the pain lessened. My child brought some clean water to rinse the paint out with, yet my eye still hurt. I again shouted, “Master, help!” and immediately the pain was eased.
This type of paint can cause serious injury, especially to the eyes. Since I had experience working at a paint factory, I knew well how dangerous this type of paint was. This DX-01 type of auto paint contains aluminium thermal grease, paint 582, 343, 344, 3355, xylenes, thinners, plus a variety of chemical pigments and other added materials. If any one of the xylenes, thinners, or paint 582 gets into a person's eye by accident, it can lead to blindness. The aluminium thermal grease that I used that day contained even more toxic ingredients. Since I knew how dangerous the paint was, my instinct to survive made me ask Master for help, and I experienced the result instantly.
Afterwards, I went grocery shopping and did the chores. I was not affected at all, and everything was normal. I am deeply grateful for Master's compassion and would like to thank Master for saving my life. Even though I had experienced similar dangerous situations before this incident and had avoided injury, none of them changed me. My acquired notions and mentalities were still deeply rooted. However, through this incident, I finally experienced and felt Master's compassion.
After I told my child about the seriousness of the incident, he was also scared and said, “We should really thank Master!” Before the incident, Master had given me hints through my child's words, such as, “Don't paint any more. This is fine.” Yet I failed to enlighten to it, and I didn't take it to heart at all. Since this incident, I have worked hard to change my human mentalities, eliminate my attachments and notions, and regain a pure heart to return to the origin and to the truth!
Thank you, Master, and thank you fellow practitioners.
