The head of the police station encouraged policemen to arrest Falun Gong practitioners by offering them rewards as an incentive. Some of the police stations even said that they did not have to follow any legal procedure in arresting practitioners. They openly dared practitioners to bring their cases to court. They said, "No Need to Follow Laws When Arresting Falun Gong Practitioners. Go Ahead If You Wish to Appeal." To avoid being arrested, some of the practitioners were forced to become homeless and leave their work and school behind just to escape further persecution.
Those who were arrested were sent to the Yingkou Detention Center where they were subjected to continuous brainwashing. They were bombarded with deceitful lies day in and day out, and are not allowed to speak their mind. Those who refused to succumb are transferred to forced labour camps. Using tricks, threats, and torture, the police tried to force practitioners to write "letters of repentance" and the like. Currently, practitioners are still being kidnapped and sent to the Yingkou Detention Center. We have to let the world know about the horrible situation going on there.
