Taking a rest at the Rhine |
At the City Hall, we not only visited the Mayor, but also paid a visit to offices of the Parliament and different parties. They also signed on the petition to the federal government to call for rescue of Xiong Wei, to show their support for us.
In these short several days, we have met many people. We talked with them and won their support.
Finally we arrived at our destination: the Chinese Consulate in Bonn. Other fellow practitioners also arrived from different places. Though the Consulate officers refused us in various ways, the important thing was that we arrived there. We had to mail our petition to them.
Upon returning home, I got feedback from a Chinese person. He met us in front of the Chinese Consulate in Bonn. He sent us a photo that we took together and wished us to have a smooth journey. He is just one of those who have know the truth. They have learned that the Chinese government treats innocent and peaceful people very cruelly. 31-year-old Xiong Wei was sentenced to one and a half years of forced labour without any formal legal procedure. We should not allow such persecution to continue any longer.
We hope to meet our friend Xiong Wei soon, and we also hope that we can end this illegal persecution of "Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance" as soon as possible.
