Dafa Practitioner Xiao Peng Dies from Brutal Torture at the Hands of Jinzhou City Police

Falun Dafa practitioner Xiao Peng from Yi County, went to Beijing three times to appeal for the end of the persecution of Falun Dafa and to uphold his beliefs. The final time, in early June 2002, he was arrested and sent to Jinzhou City Police Department, where vicious police brutally beat him, causing fatal injuries. On June 9, 2002, Xiao Peng passed away.

Xiao Peng, a 31-year old former resident of Baijiagou, went to Beijing after the July 1999 ban on Falun Gong to appeal for Falun Dafa. He was arrested by thugs from Yi County Police Department and was brutally tortured. He firmly refused to write the "guarantee letter" (promising to stop practising Falun Dafa) and would not give up the practice . As a result, he suffered all kinds of brutal torture. The violent police beat Xiao Peng to the point that he stopped breathing three times. After half an hour, Xiao Peng miraculously regained consciousness, and the vicious police were scared and subsequently released him.

In October 1999, Xiao Peng went again to Beijing to appeal and was arrested and sent back to Yi County. He was detained for about three months in the county detention centre. In late 1999, Xiao Peng was sentenced to three years of forced labour and was sent to the Beishan Labour Camp in Jinzhou City. He suffered all kinds of brutal torture in the labour camp, yet he persevered in the practice. Having lost all sense of human decency the police used hard bamboo sticks to clamp Xiao Peng's fingers. They put their electric baton into his mouth to shock him, trying to force him to curse Falun Dafa. Finally, his tongue was so badly burnt he couldn't speak. The labour camp proclaimed that he went insane, so they released him.

Around June 5, 2002, Xiao Peng went to Beijing for the third time to appeal for Falun Dafa and was arrested and detained at Jinzhou City Police Department, where the malevolent police again beat him ruthlessly. When they realized he was on the verge of death they called his family and asked them to come pick him up. Xiao Peng's sister, also a Falun Dafa practitioner, went to the Division Six and was told by the police that, "I just beat him to let him know that he shouldn't go to Beijing, yet he still went." Xiao Peng's sister saw that her brother was unconscious and in an extremely wretched state.

After Xiao Peng was taken home, he said to his family before he passed away (his parents, sisters and wife are all Falun Dafa practitioners), "I didn't study Falun Dafa diligently enough, you must study it diligently." His family stood around Xiao Peng and read Falun Dafa books to him. Xiao Peng passed away with his eyes wide open. His family could not close them no matter how they tried.

Several days later, the thugs from the police department went to Xiao Peng's home with a video camera and tried to make his family lie and say that Xiao Peng died from practising Falun Gong, so they could earn favour with their superiors. However, because Xiao Peng's family members all maintained upright thoughts, the thugs were unable to create their slanderous videos and left in a dejected mood.
