There was a wonderful atmosphere around the whole area. It seemed to radiate from the beauty of the dancers costumes, from the warm smiles of the practitioners who stood quietly at the sides, from the bright sunshine, the elegance of the dancers, the many golden banners, and the rapt attention of the onlookers. Looking at the sky, one could see a huge ring circling the sun, this extraordinary phenomena added the feeling of a kind of magnificent and mystical blessing. The overall effect was truly wonderful! Over twenty dancers in red performed the traditional Chinese fan dancing whilst those dressed in yellow and pink performed the Lotus Flower dance. They also demonstrated the Falun Gong exercises, along with a large number of practitioners dressed in traditional yellow exercise suits. Many people were attracted by the beauty of the dancers and the gracefulness of the exercises and took a leaflet to learn more about the practice. Whilst some practitioners remained to demonstrate the exercises, and continue with the performance, some fan dancers and some of the lotus dancers went on a parade of the nearby streets for an hour or so, performing the dance to the delight of shoppers and tourists.
Looking on, I wondered why their dance seemed to be so wonderful and attractive. Was it the choreography, the costumes, the music? After watching for a while, I began to realise that the reason was because they were dancing with their hearts. Looking again at these performers, I thought that they looked beautiful, much more beautiful than most everyday people I see. I began to wonder if it was the make up, or the light, or perhaps my state of mind. Then, again, I realised, it was because their hearts were shining in their faces. As Dafa practitioners, then, how could they not look beautiful...?
