Before starting the tour, several activities were held in Bucharest, the capital of Romania, which included a visit to the Minister of Foreign Affairs - Human Rights Department. The facts of the persecution were revealed and many materials were left - including videotapes, CDs, magazines etc. The person in charge at the office asked for details about the practice site in Bucharest and how she can join the practitioners there.
The tour started on September 21st in the cities of Piatra Neamt and Iasi in North-Eastern Romania. Workshops were held in these two cities with many interested people wanting to learn Falun Dafa.
Practitioners wearing yellow T-shirts decided to do the 5 sets of exercises in the plaza of the very centre of the city of Iasi. This was a very successful and effective event as over 500 people passed by to ask questions and receive flyers. The night before we gave out flyers in downtown Iasi and hardly anybody refused to take them - it was quite amazing! Some people have exclaimed when they received the flyer "I have been waiting for this for a long time". Others asked for more to give to their friends.
During the workshops, after showing the videotape exposing the persecution, many people were in tears. We could feel how our words and the power of Dafa were truly moving these people and letting them see the through the lies of the Chinese regime.
The tour continues with many other cities coming up - we just hope to not run out of flyers and other materials. On 24 September we have a one-hour slot on a talk show with a major TV station, to discuss Falun Gong. This will undoubtedly reach tens of thousands of people.
