In the labour camp, she was forced to do heavy labour and sew clothing. Guards always assigned her the most dirty and exhausting work. In addition to the high intensity labour, when the criminals were on their break, the guards incited them to force her into the restroom where they would torture her. They even made her stand in the position known as "riding the airplane" If she couldn't do it well, they would beat her viciously. To prevent other people from hearing her scream, they stuffed a rag that was used to clean the toilets into her mouth. They knocked out Li Liming's two front teeth this way. However, no matter how inhumane the torture was, she held steadfast to her righteous belief.
Because of the SOS rescue efforts of practitioners in other countries, as well as the voices of justice from kind-hearted people in China and around the world, the Masanjia Labour Camp has had to restrain its persecution activities. Li Liming therefore has been sent back to the No. 3 brigade of the No. 2 branch of the Masanjia Labour Camp that is used for detaining female Falun Gong practitioners. There, she is no longer involved in heavy labour work. However, one of the guards, Wang Xiaofeng, has used the collaborators (former practitioners who have succumbed to the persecution) to torture her mentally every day. They force Li Liming and other steadfast practitioners to get up at 5:00 a.m., and after being forced to work very hard the whole day, they are kept awake and oftentimes mentally abused until at least 1 o'clock in the morning. Because he is so "diligent" in persecuting Falun Gong, Wang has been promoted to be head of the brigade.
When the international human rights groups sent people to visit the Masanjia Labour Camp, the guards hid Li Liming and the other steadfast practitioners in advance. They were not allowed to be seen publicly. The evil persecutors would never allow a determined Falun Gong practitioner to have contact with outside people for fear that their cruelty will be exposed.
