To Clarify the Truth in Our Daily Lives

As Teacher Li once mentioned: “The Great way is formless”, I would like to share with you various ways of truth-clarification taken by the practitioners whose deeds have harmonised with Dafa in this area. And your kind comments will be appreciated.

Recently, in a busy local agricultural market, a fish vendor was looking for a Dafa practitioner. As soon as he found the practitioner, he could not help talking to him in a high pitch: “I’ve been looking for you for ages because I wanted to express my appreciation to you.” This practitioner in his 60s replied: “Don’t worry and take your time.” This vendor had listened to the introduction to Falun Gong and the truth-clarification made by this practitioner, and he was touched by Teacher Li’s great kindness and the magnificence of Dafa. He said: “Recently my daughter-in-law and I were smashed to the other side of a road by a truck while we were riding a tricycle. As my daughter-in-law was badly tossed to the curb out of the tricycle, people on the scene said that we might not have any chance to survive. But as you can see, we are selling fish here today, with only minor injury on the skin of my legs. Some said it was because our family has accumulated a lot of de (virtue) that gods blessed us.” He also mentioned: “Actually I truly understand that it was your Teacher that saved us. I persuaded one of my relatives who are responsible for arresting Falun Gong practitioners to release a group of Dafa followers, after I had listened to your clarification and realised that Falun Gong is good. Therefore, I want to thank you for saving my whole family.” The practitioner burst into tears on the spot and told him: “There’s no need to thank me. It is Teacher Li who should be thanked, because our Teacher asked us to be kind to sentient beings and clarify the truth to kind-hearted people. I hope that you will always be a kind-hearted person and clarify the fact of Falun Gong to your relatives and friends.”

I have to make it clear that the practitioners in this area are mostly female. They are career women or housewives, and have to work, go shopping and deal with many people every day. When going shopping in the local agricultural market, we always try our best to live up to Dafa’s standard. In the course of trading, we might enquire about the prices with a kind attitude and ask the vendors if it is the real price. If they said that it is the lowest price, then we would kindly reply: “No problem, it is really not easy for you to grow these vegetables. In addition to the toils working from early morning till late night, and the cost of pesticide and fertiliser, you should also pay taxes. We truly understand your situation.” On the other hand, in the process of purchase, we do not pick and choose among the vegetables, or argue with them, or take advantage of them, and we always talk to them politely and kindly, which often make many ordinary people feel puzzled. They even said: “Few people are as kind as you nowadays! How come you are so nice?” In this situation, I would say that we are Falun Dafa practitioners who discipline themselves with the universal principles--Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance, and we would first think of others when dealing with them, and we will always be a kind person no matter where we are. In the meantime, I clarified the truth about Falun Gong and exposed the evil to them. In addition, I told them it is the justice of nature that good begets good and evil is met with evil. As a result, I urged them to tell their relatives and friends the truth of Falun Gong. Though the conversation only lasted for a little more than ten minutes, the sentient beings, from our pure and compassionate deeds, had witnessed the magnificence of Dafa and the great kindness of Teacher Li. In the meantime, we also maintained the dignity of Dafa and Teacher Li.

After realising the truth, they said that they had finally come to know all the TV reports about Falun Gong were totally fabricated, and all what Jiang has done is against justice of nature; Jiang must take the consequences of all the evil deeds. On the other hand, they also reminded us that we should be careful in order not to be persecuted by “them.”

Dear fellow practitioners: At the 2002 Fa-conference in Boston, Teacher Li mentioned that since sentient beings can’t get to know us at a deep level such as by studying the Fa, they will just look at how we act. Therefore, our own behaviours play an important role in our Fa-validation. can we eliminate many attachments, but we can also solidify the manifestation of the Fa in the world. Let’s follow Teacher Li’s teaching: “Be full of great aspirations while minding minor details.” Though there are various ways for us to validate the Fa, it is our unshirkable duty to harmonise our own behaviour with Dafa. In the meantime, it would be a concrete manifestation of the fact that we are responsible to Dafa, sentient beings and ourselves.
