Crimes
Caused several deaths: Dafa practitioners Zhou Yuling, Han Fuxiang, Chen Min, and Ms. Ye Yunjie (non practitioner) who ended her own life. Ye Yunjie was a practitioner's wife. Her husband has been imprisoned for a long time because of his belief and she felt so depressed that she committed suicide.
The "610 Office" also sent more than 100 Dafa practitioners to forced labour camps and detained many more (some were detained three or four times; since July 20, 1999 there have always been practitioners illegally detained in Qingyuan County Dashagou Detention Centre.) They also relentlessly stole practitioners' personal property and money. Many families became destitute because of this. Because so many practitioners are now in jails, detention centres, forced labour camps and forced to leave home, we are unable to have an accurate count.
Practitioner Tortured and paralysed
The "610 Office" asked a practitioner to come over and have a talk. They guaranteed that nothing would happen. However, once she got there, they tried to force her to abandon Dafa. She refused. The policemen came and took her to the county detention centre. To protest, she began a hunger strike. Policemen tied her arms and legs to the bed, trying to force-feed her. She refused to cooperate. The policemen lost control of their senses, grabbed her hair and slammed her head against the bed frame. She suffered a hemorrhage and became paralysed.
Policemen Kidnapped Dafa Practitioner
Dafa practitioner Qu Jinxia was handing out flyers and was arrested and sent to the police station. The police there tortured her so badly that her face was disfigured and she almost lost her eyesight. Three bystanders were so frightened by the scene of the police's brutal beating that their heart rates went out of control and they had to go to the hospital to receive injections. The "610 office" officials did not stop there. They arrested Qu Jinxia on October 28, 2002 and plan to unlawfully sentence her.
