The practitioners then formed a parade through London city centre and headed towards Chinatown. They carried banners and handed out materials telling people that over 500 innocent practitioners have died at the hands of Jiang's regime whilst millions have been tortured, beaten, brainwashed and illegally imprisoned. In China, the media is tightly controlled by the government and is used to defame and slander Falun Dafa. Therefore, by going to Chinatown, the Dafa practitioners hoped to be able to help the Chinese people see through Jiang's evil lies and realise that Dafa practitioners are good people and that they are being wrongfully persecuted.
The parade ended at the Prime Minister's residence where practitioners handed a letter into the Prime Minister asking for much-needed help for the practitioners in China who have been suffering daily since the persecution began on July 20th 1999. Many have lost their homes, jobs and families whilst all have lost their human rights. Practitioners hoped that the British Government could make a public statement denouncing Jiang's reign of terror and calling for an end of the violence being inflicted on people who believe in Truthfulness, Compassion, Tolerance.
