Letter to Government Bureau Chief: I Want to Tell You the Facts About the Persecution and Awaken Your Righteous Side

A Falun Dafa practitioner from Zhuanghe City, Liaoning Province

To the Bureau Chief:

When I was not fully aware of what I was doing due to the high pressure, coercion and deceit, I said and wrote things about giving up my cultivation. In fact, this was not what I intended. In my heart, I have never given up my righteous faith in Falun Dafa. I hereby declare all of what I said and wrote at that time to be invalid.

In July 1999, there were more than 100 million Chinese people practising Falun Gong, and they endeavoured to be good people by leading their lives according to "Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance." Jiang, out of his jealousy, insisted on persecuting these kind Dafa practitioners. The authorities have constantly employed all possible cruel means to torture Dafa practitioners in hopes of forcing them to give up their belief.

In the Masanjia Forced Labour Camp in Shenyang City, 18 female Dafa practitioners were stripped naked and thrown into the male cells; when you learn that an innocent female college student's nipples were pierced through with an iron wire while the evil policemen laughed and joked at the victim's miserable screaming; when you learn that two Dafa practitioners were tied to a speeding motorcycle and dragged along the ground; when you learn that a Dafa practitioner who was brutally beaten into unconsciousness was dragged to the front of a government building, drenched with gasoline and then burned to death, do you, as a person with a conscience and a Chinese person with a human heart, still believe the propaganda from television, radio and newspapers? Are you still willing to be exploited by the evil and involve yourself in the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners?

In fact, such kinds of persecution of Falun Gong practitioners are quite common locally. Shao Shisheng from Zhuanghe City in Dalian, Liaoning Province was persecuted to death. Hua Yushuang from Pingshan in Zhuanghe City was tied to an iron rail and whipped relentlessly. Liu Hongjun, an operator of three-wheelers, was beat into unconsciousness and then revived with cold water. Among the Dafa practitioners who are illegally detained here, there are seniors in their 70s, youths in their 20s, a middle school teacher with a college degree, and simple and kind housewives from the mountain areas. They all are being illegally detained for clarifying the truth about Falun Gong and exposing the evil persecution. Yesterday there were five more female Dafa practitioners sent here. One of them previously suffered from coronary disease with a heart rate of 120 beats per minute and thrombosis. After practising Falun Gong, all her illnesses were gone. To let more people benefit from Falun Gong, she told them that, "Dafa is good," and was thus illegally sentenced to the forced labour camp for one and a half years. The middle school teacher was illegally sentenced to forced labour for two and a half years.

In the winter, Dafa practitioner Xu Dejing's hands were frostbitten and covered with egg-sized blisters. Yet the evil police still forced him to do push-ups on the icy ground. There were 12 female practitioners and four male practitioners being tortured in the meantime. Among them, four female practitioners were in the middle of their menstrual cycles, but they were not allowed to wear sweaters or winter coats. In the end, even the young guards were moved. Isn't all of this enough to awaken people? Think about why the practitioners are willing to risk their lives to clarify the truth to people. All they have been doing is disclosing the evil lies and awakening people's consciences, so as to let people correctly understand this persecution and have a righteous thought toward Dafa. Although I had been illegally detained three times and put into a forced labour camp once, I have no regrets, because what I'm protecting is the principle of the cosmos. What is most worrisome to us is that there are still many people who have not come to know the truth and are still deceived by the Jiang regime's slanderous propaganda. They were innocent, so after you find out the truth, please also let others know because it is the virtuous thing to do.

The persecution of a righteous practice can only end in failure. I hope that you will realise the goodness of "Truthfulness-Compassion-Tolerance" and have a bright future.
