  • Profil Magazine (Austria): Lost in Transplantation

Following his recent interview with the United Nations’ Special Rapporteur on Torture, Manfred Nowak, Robert Misik of Profil, the second largest magazine in Austria, published an article detailing Matas and Kilgour’s finding that a source of organs in Chinese transplants is Falun Gong practitioners. Mr. Nowak, the United Nations Commission on Human Rights’ Special Rapporteur on Torture, demanded a response to the series of allegations from the Chinese government within the week.

  • Letter to IOC from David Kilgour and David Matas

"Regrettably, it confirms our earlier conclusion, that the government of China and its agencies in numerous parts of the country, in particular in hospitals but also detention centers and ‘people’s courts’ have put to death a large but unknown number of Falun Gong prisoners of conscience since 1999. Their vital organs, including hearts, kidneys, livers and corneas were virtually, simultaneously seized involuntarily for sale at high prices, sometimes to foreigners who normally face long waits for voluntary donations of such organs in their home countries.”
  • People Treasured Seeing the Divine Performing Arts in Berlin

“I appreciate New Tang Dynasty Television for providing us with this opportunity to see such a wonderful performance. I have totally changed my attitude toward life and come to know the true meaning of life,” said a Chinese person, after seeing the last show by NTDTV’s Divine Performing Arts in Berlin, Germany on February the 28th 2007. He is not the only one to say so.
  • Human Rights Lawyer Condemns the Singapore Government for Appeasing the CCP

Recently, six practitioners were charged by the Singapore authorities with assembling without a permit and underwent a trial inaccessible to the public, media and family members. The secret trial caused extensive concern. Human rights lawyer Mr. Ravi’s certificate to practise law was revoked by the Singapore government due to his defence of Falun Gong practitioners.
  • Austrian Foreign Minister Shows Concern over the CCP’s Illegal Organ Harvesting

At the end of November 2006, Petra Bayr, Elisabeth Hlavac and some other Austrian Parliamentarians wrote a formal letter to the Foreign Minister and the Health Minister asking for replies on the issue of the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) practice of harvesting organs from living Falun Gong practitioners. In her reply, the Foreign Minister emphasised that Austria supported the efforts of organizations to investigate Chinese prisons, especially the UN Special Rapporteur on torture.
  • MP from Belgium: “I fully support the investigation by the CIPFG”

"We see a continuing violation of human rights, which even cannot be openly protested against without facing the consequence of immediate liquidation. It is also impossible for organizations to help people, because of the ever increasing corruption and abuse of power in China, as seems from the reports of Amnesty International. The most distinguished group of victims at the moment are Falun Gong practitioners. There is a whole case of evidence about the brutal persecution of this group of people."
  • Irish Consultant Psychiatrist: “The spotlight of the world needs to be trained on these evil practices”

"As a medical doctor I cannot feel kinship with my colleagues in China whilst these abuses are being perpetrated by other medics who abuse science, turning healing into an instrument of torture. We all have a collective responsibility to ask the Chinese Communist Party to end these practices against Falun Gong and admit responsibility for past sufferings."
  • UN Representative Sends Best Wishes on Establishment of the European Brach of the Coalition to Investigate the Persecution of Falun Gong

"As I am concerned with issues of spiritual liberty within the United Nations human rights procedures, I have been concerned with government repression against the Falun Gong since the start of the government ban. I believe that it is important to continue to stress the need for the Chinese government to respect the "Declaration on the Elimination of All Forms of Intolerance and of Discrimination Based on Religion or Belief" for the Falun Gong as well as for other religious and spiritual movements."
  • Chairman of the German International Society for Human Rights: “The persecution of Falun Gong is surely one of the saddest chapters in the history of mankind”

"Since the beginning of this persecution in July 1999, based on our information, several hundred thousand arrests already had taken place – many thousands are being detained in forced labour camps, prisons and psychiatric institutes without legal procedures, merely because of their peaceful ideology. In these places, they are exposed to systematic torture. Currently over 3,000 known victims have died as a result of the tortures in these camps, the estimated number of unknown/unreported cases is not included."
  • Asian Branch of Coalition to Investigate the Persecution of Falun Gong (CIPFG) Congratulates the Establishment of CIPFG-Europe

"Human dignity today is indivisible around the shrunken planet. All faith communities and other members of civil societies everywhere should be fully united on issues like the ones still facing Falun Gong practitioners across China. All governments of, by and for their citizens should be working much harder and effectively towards achieving a fully democratic world as early as possible in the new century."
  • Vice Chairman of European Parliament Sends Statement of Support on Establishment of European Branch of Coalition to Investigate the Persecution of Falun Gong

"The fact that Red China's corrupt army has its dirty fingers in every money-making pie is not news; nor is it news that they are the mechanism by which body parts are transacted. It is news that the army is involved in systematically murdering prisoners – especially Falun Gong – for their vital organs, and even takes parts from live prisoners. The world must shun Red China's Olympics and look forward to the imminent trial by the International Criminal Court of all those who have given genocidal orders."
  • President of Danish International Committee: “We owe it to the many millions of people who have suffered at the hands of this brutal regime to root out the evil perpetrators of these terrible crimes”

"I wish to add my support to the establishment of the Coalition to Investigate of the Persecution of Falun Gong (CIPFG). It is vitally important that all nations outside China should join together in condemning the ruthless activities of the Chinese authorities towards Falun Gong, and that an investigation should be initiated to find out exactly what has happened in China’s labour camps and prisons over the last seven years since the persecution began, especially regarding the source of the harvesting of human organs for transplant."
  • Geneva Government Adviser Supports Mission into China to Investigate Persecution Against Falun Gong

"I hereby give my full support to the principle of sending a mission of inquiry to China concerning the crimes of which practitioners of the Falun Gong spiritual movement are reportedly the victims. Indeed, the signs seem to indicate that these practitioners are subject in imprisonment, torture, even the death penalty, simply because of their adherence to this movement. It seems essential henceforward to validate these accusations."
  • Swiss Government Official: “What is at stake in this fight is the very principle of human freedom”

"I agree to join this coalition so that everything might come to light regarding this barbaric practice of organ harvesting. In opposing barbarism in every form we may hope to save our civilisation. If not, we will become worse than animals. Harvesting organs from human beings by violence is to take apart, bit by bit, our humanity. What is at stake in this fight, beyond the victims, is the very principle of human freedom."
