United Kingdom: Practitioners Take Part in the Annual New Years Day Parade in London
2008-01-02In what has now become an annual tradition, Falun Gong practitioners participated in London's 22nd New Year's Day Parade. This year, the parade organisers had predicted crowds of 500,000 and more than 10,000 participants. The parade began at midday, taking a 2 mile route passing many of London's great historical sights. -

Finland: The Finnish Public Declares Support for the Thirty Million Withdrawals from the Chinese Communist Party

2007-12-29On December 14th, 2007, a female resident of Ely, who has long been concerned about China's human rights and the persecution of Falun Gong in China, organised the "Truthfulness, Compassion and Tolerance Art Exhibition" in Ely, Cambridgeshire. All of the many works on display were created by artists who practise Falun Gong. -
France: Practitioners Demonstrate the Falun Gong Exercises on World Human Rights Day
2007-12-28The 10th of December, 2007, was World Human Rights Day. Many people who advocate peace gathered in Human Right Square in Paris, expressing their longing and concern for human rights and peace. Falun Gong practitioners also went there to call on people to help stop the persecution of Falun Gong by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). -

Practitioners distributed leaflets and newspapers to inform people that in China Falun Gong practitioners had been illegally thrown into labour camps, mental hospitals and even been tortured to death and that the CCP’s purpose was to force them to give up their belief. -

This day each year has become a good opportunity for them to raise awareness about the persecution of Falun Gong among the guests from various circles that come to attend the Nobel Prize dinner.
