After Suffering Interrogation and Torture, Cai Fuchen and Others Have Been Sentenced to Prison

On May 26th 2005, Cai Yuchen and five other practitioners were apprehended from a site producing leaflets exposing the persecution. Authorities confiscated more than 100,000 yuan in cash and equipment, and even seized all of their daily necessities. The six practitioners were then detained at the Yanji City detention centre for 15 months. During their detention, police brutally tortured them numerous times in order to force them to make confessions. On the evening of his arrest, Cai Fuchen was beaten and severely wounded. He could not walk after the beating. The other five were all wounded to various degrees. Yanji City Court recently sentenced Cai Fuchen to 10 years imprisonment. -
Little Benny Wants His Dad Back Home (Photo)
2005-08-25In March 2005, the German government rejected the political asylum application for Jiang Renzheng, his wife, his son, Benny and his other son. They were deported to China and returned to Jiang Renzheng's hometown, Benxi. The family's tragedy followed. On April 8th when Benny and his younger brother were playing at their grandparents' home in Shenyang, seven people came in and arrested his dad. Upon seeing dad arrested, Benny followed and ran to the doorway. He became terribly frightened and cried. Since then, he often cries and calls for his dad. He can't say complete words, but he calls for his dad often. -
Shanghai Practitioner Wu Aizhong and Others Facing Illegal Imprisonment
2005-08-24The couple proclaimed their innocence before the court's public prosecutor. They declared that they printed Falun Gong flyers with the purpose of letting people know the truth about Falun Gong. The court ruled that both of them had violated the illegal ban on Falun Gong, and said that making Falun Gong materials carries a sentence of 7 - 10 years in prison. The court appointed defence lawyer openly admitted that he could only submit a guilty plea. The verdict is not yet known. -
Ms. Xu Jingxian of Changsha City, Hunan Province Facing Illegal Court Trial - Her Non-Practitioner Husband and Son Sentenced to Labour Camp
2005-08-22Arrested four months ago by police, Dafa practitioner Ms. Xu Jingxian is now facing an illegal court trial just for exposing the persecution of Falun Dafa and telling people about the goodness of Falun Dafa. Her husband and son, who are not Falun Gong practitioners, were sent to a labour camp a few days ago. They were then sentenced to one year and three months and one year and six months respectively. The son is only about 20 years old. They had committed no crime except to believe that Falun Gong is good. -
Practitioner Fu Lijun from Sichuan Province Unjustly Sentenced to Forced Labour Camp
2005-08-21Ms. Fu Lijun, a 32-year-old practitioner was arrested on June 5th while posting leaflets exposing the persecution in an area near Jianyang. She was sentenced to a forced labour camp without notifying her family and is now locked up at Nanmusi Women's Forced Labour Camp. The family learned about her fate from other sources a few days after she was sentenced and locked up in the forced labour camp. The elder family members are overcome with grief, and the atmosphere in the house is gloomy and sad. -
Urgent Letter From Wang Xiuying's Disabled Husband, After She Was Abducted for the Fourth Time
2005-08-20"My wife, Wang Xiuying, is an employee at Xi'an Jiaotong University. Because she does not want to give up her belief in Falun Gong, she was abducted by a group of police from the 610 Offices. Her colleagues told me that she was carried away by the police, and that she is currently being subjected to brainwashing and mental torture at the Worker's Health Centre in Xi'an City. My wife is a very nice and honest person. Just because she practises Falun Gong, she has been abducted by the police many times and sent to detention centres and forced labour camps to be brainwashed for several months. She has been physically and mentally tortured in an inhumane way. Now my family is not like a family anymore." -
Prestigious University Student Suffers a Mental Collapse Due to Persecution, Employee Imprisoned in Shandong Province
2005-08-15Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Liu Zhimei was enrolled in the Chemical Engineering Department of Tsinghua University in 1997. In 2001, she was unjustly sentenced to 12 years in prison and has since suffered a mental collapse due to the relentless persecution. She is now being held in the Women's Prison of Shandong Province. Another practitioner, Mr. Wu Xiangwan, was sentenced to 8 years in prison in May 2004. Currently, he is being persecuted in a prison in Shandong Province. -
Gong Piqi and Wife Sun Dongxia Arrested and Home Ransacked in Shandong Province
2005-08-09Practitioners Mr. Gong Piqi and his wife Sun Dongxia were arrested two months ago. Ms. Sun Dongxia, who may have been sentenced to a ten-year prison term, is currently in the detention centre and suffering from maltreatment. She started a hunger strike to protest the persecution during her detention and endured torture from other inmates. She was so weak and thin that the police did not allow her family members to visit her. Mr. Gong Piqi is currently detained in the brainwashing class and has become so weak that he is unable to walk without help from others. -
Five Dafa Practitioners from Hubei Province Unjustly Receive Severe Sentences
2005-08-09Mr Zhou Qing was an outstanding physics teacher from Hubei Province. He was detained many times. He was arrested by police in July 2004 and was severely persecuted at a detention centre, which had caused paralysis in his legs, muscular atrophy and a speech impediment. In this condition, he was taken to the provincial brainwashing class and persecuted until he was near death. He was injected with unknown drugs during that period. He was bailed out by his family and waited for the trial. Police arrested him again on June 22nd 2005 before he had completely recovered. -
Practitioners Persecuted for Holding a Minghui School; the Situation Is Critical
2005-08-08Since May of 2005, some districts in Shandong Province have tried to hold Minghui schools for young practitioners. They held a Minghui trial school where 50 young practitioners attended. On the afternoon of July 20th someone reported them to the police. The police sent the young practitioners home but kept all their belongings, especially their homework and identification cards. The Laiwu police arrested Liu Faling and Feng Aimin. The authorities are persecuting them at the Laiwu City Detention Centre. Some practitioners have been forced to leave home because of this incident. -
Several Practitioners Brutally Persecuted at Jilin Prison - Their Situation is Dire
2005-08-02The guards and officials at Jilin No. 2 Prison have been brutally persecuting unjustly held Falun Dafa practitioners. Falun Dafa practitioner Mr. Wang Fengcai is 33 years old, and lived in Fengchan Village, Mingyue Town, Antu County, Jilin Province. He is now being held in the No. 3 Prison Area. On May 13th 2005, Wang Fengcai was subjected to forcible brainwashing. He refused to compromise. The police and three "collaborators" locked him in a solitary confinement cell. Wang Fengcai went on a hunger strike to resist the persecution and became critically ill. He has been sent to Jilin Railway Hospital and is on the verge of death. -
Manipulated by the "610 Office", Shiyan City Court Sentences Ms. He Jiao to Prison
2005-08-01After Ms. He Jiao was illegally sentenced to three years imprisonment, her husband became destitute and homeless in order to avoid being illegally arrested at home. Their nine-year-old daughter had to live with her uncle's family in the countryside. Upon hearing the news, He Jiao's mother immediately fell ill with increased high blood pressure and a nearly collapsed spirit. She was unable to get out of bed for days. -
Falun Gong Practitioner Zheng Zhihong Sues for Unlawful Persecution
2005-08-01Mr. Zheng Zhihong is a Falun Gong practitioner from Hubei Province. His father, Mr. Zheng Zhong, died because he was severely persecuted for his belief in Falun Gong. On March 11th 2004, his father's work unit organised a memorial service for him. Mr. Zheng Zhihong delivered a eulogy at the service. On May 20th 2004, he was arrested because of the eulogy. The local court issued a preliminary verdict and Mr. Zheng appealed it. On February 28th 2005, the intermediate court denied his appeal and upheld the original sentence, a five-year prison term. Mr. Zheng, other Falun Gong practitioners and people with a sense of justice think he should be cleared of the charges. -
Over a Dozen Falun Dafa Practitioners Tortured and Unjustly Sentenced to Long Prison Terms in Gansu Province
2005-07-25In early September of 2002, the police unjustly arrested 13 Falun Dafa practitioners. Following former president Jiang Zemin's ruthless policy regarding killing Falun Dafa practitioners ("It is not a crime to beat them to death, just accuse them of having committed suicide"), the police brutally tortured the practitioners. Practitioners Mr. Li Yuhai and Tang Pinghu's hand joints were dislocated as a result of the torture. They were sent to the hospital to have their joints relocated, and an acquaintance actually witnessed the surgery. Sources have revealed that practitioner Mr. Huang Ruzhong was hung from the ceiling. Several days later, his trousers were still left in the room he was tortured in. Practitioner Ms. Zhou Xiuying was in her 60's, yet after she was tortured, she was hung up for an entire day and night. -
Arrested and Tortured: Practitioners Mr. Zeng Zhaoxin and Mr. Qiao Mingxi from Henan Province
2005-07-24Since Mr. Zeng Zhaoxin went to Beijing to appeal for Falun Gong, he was fired by his company. He was therefore destitute and homeless. After he heard that Yalan Company was recruiting workers, he went there for an interview on the afternoon of May 8, 2005. He was arrested by the police from Nanyang municipal public security bureau. Right now, he is imprisoned in Shangzhuang Detention Centre in Nanyang City and is suffering from persecution. Another practitioner Mr. Qiao Mingxi, who was the new security guard of Yalan Company who was hired only a few days prior to his arrest. As a matter of fact, Mr. Qiao had been released only 20 days after he had been imprisoned for three years and ten months.
