Yongchuan Prison in Chongqing Draws Blood from Unwilling Falun Gong Practitioners

Over 100 Falun Gong practitioners have been brutally persecuted in Chongqing Yongchuan Prison since July 1999. At least five were persecuted to death. Every year the prison draws blood from practitioners against their will. Since knowledge of forced organ harvesting from living Falun Gong practitioners by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) has become widespread, Yongchuan Prison's intentions seem clear.

Blood Drawn by Force

In 2010, Mr. Chen Erqi from Jiuyang County, Chongqing, was arrested for appealing against the persecution of Falun Gong and handing out informational materials. The Jiuyang 610 Office (an organisation of special agents just for persecuting Falun Gong) directed the arrest and arranged for him to be sentenced to seven years in prison. He was admitted to Yongchuan Prison.

In April 2012, even though he showed no signs of illness, Mr. Chen was held in the prison hospital. He was strapped to a death bed with handcuffs and shackles. As four to five inmates held him down, one officer began to shock him on his lips with an electric baton, then sedated him. The officer then extracted one tube of blood. Mr. Chen was still unconscious, so a few inmates carried him back to ward No.1, where he remains.

Toxic Drugs Injected to Test Reactions

Mr. Deng Fushou, in his 60s, a Falun Gong practitioner from Chongqing, was sentenced to four years in prison and taken to Yongchuan Prison. At the end of 2011, after being injected with unknown drugs, the skin on his head suddenly festered and he lost his vision, symptoms of poisoning. In early 2012, he passed away.

People from Yongchun Prison Hospital shouted at the practitioners, "What's the big deal about being tested? The state permits it, it's legal, and we were only following instructions from the top."

Acts of Brutality Committed in Yongchuan Prison

Inmates who have committed the most serious crimes are used to monitor practitioners. Tempted by term reductions, they commit all kinds of evil deeds.

Mr. Liu Yunshu was force-fed for more than 100 days, which seriously injured his stomach. He was the Principal of Dazu Middle School before his arrest. The prison did not want to be held responsible in the event that he died, so they called his family to take Mr. Liu home for medical reasons.

Prison officials subjected Mr. Lai Yunchang to extreme cold. During the winter, he was only allowed to wear a coat and nothing else and had to stand on a hill. Whenever he moved, inmates used lit cigarettes to burn the hair of either his upper or lower legs. They burned his flesh, too. They also poked his eyeballs, etc.

In order to force Mr. Lai to give up his belief in Truth-Compassion-Forbearance, throughout the entire winter of 2010, they made him sit up straight in the snow from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. When it was snowing, he was covered with snow. As soon as he fell asleep, guards ordered inmate Ma Guangping to use a lit cigarette to burn his eyes. If he didn't sit up straight, they would beat him.

So many types of torture were used on practitioners in this prison that we cannot begin to list them all here.

Please investigate the use of cruel torture used on practitioners by the guards and other inmates in Yongchuan Prison. Please hold these evil people responsible for their crimes.
