Husband Persecuted to Death, Ms. Li Mingyue Arrested Again

Ms. Li Mingyue and another practitioner were arrested on May 13th, 2015, by officers from the She County Domestic Security Division for distributing Falun Gong informational materials in Chengguan Town.

Mr. Li Shuiting was arrested on April 21st by the county's domestic security police.

The Persecution of Ms. Li Mingyue

Ms. Li, from Henandian Town, She County, and her family have been persecuted by the Chinese communist regime since the onset of the persecution for their belief in Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance.

She County Political and Security Section deputy head Wang Baoyi, assisted by police department deputy chief Kong and about five other officers, arrested Ms. Li at her home in 2001. She was taken to the Bawu Detention Centre in She County.

Ms. Li was interrogated by political and security section head Guo Yingqun, along with Wang Baoyi and other officers. Her family asked Guo Yingqun for her release. Guo told the family that no one cared about the death of Falun Gong practitioners. To gain Mrs. Li's release, her family treated the perpetrators to dinner at a restaurant and gave them 5,000 yuan.

Wang Baoyi, chief Kong, about five other officers, and residential committee officials ransacked Ms. Li's home in 2005.

Ms. Li, Ms. Zhang Dongqing, Ms. Liu Xiumin, and two other practitioners talked to people about Falun Gong on February 4th, 2012, and were arrested by officers from the Liaochengxi Police Station in She County. The police confiscated all of their personal possessions, and subjected them to body searches.

She has now been arrested again.

Torture Endured by Mr. Zhang

Mr. Zhang Yinsuo

Mr. Zhang Yinsuo passed away in August 2010, after enduring constant police threats and harassment.

Mr. Zhang was arrested in 2001 by deputy chief Kong, Guo Yingqun, Wang Baoyi, and other officers.

In the She County Detention Centre, the guards slapped his face, would not let him use the toilet, and put shackles normally worn by death row inmates on him for a week. They chained the handcuffs and leg irons together, keeping him bent over.

Mr. Zhang's family bribed the police with gifts and dining, amounting to about 5,000 yuan. That reduced his sentence from two years to one year of forced labour.

Even though the labour camp refused to accept him after he failed the physical exam, the Domestic Security Section would not release him until they had extorted an additional 4,000 yuan from his family.
