On October 25, a symbolic trial bringing Jiang to justice was held in a park in Edmonton, the capital city of the province of Alberta, Canada. The event attracted many local media and passersby.

Edmonton practitioners organised the symbolic trial and practitioners from nearby Calgary joined the activity. This is the first such kind symbolic trial in Edmonton, and is part of the global campaign to bring Jiang to justice.

Early in the morning of October 25, the central pavilion of the Dr. Wilbert McIntyre park was set up with many banners reading "Jiang Being Sued for Genocide", "Stop persecution of Falun Gong", and "Falun Dafa". Boards clarifying the truth and exposing the brutal persecution were displayed along park pathways.

The symbolic trial started at 10:30am. During the one-hour-long performance, the MLA for Strathcona watched the play from start to end. Some major media of the city like Gateway, CFRN TV, and Global News came to the site and interviewed practitioners. Two media reported the symbolic trial. During the performance, the practitioners who didn't play a role used this opportunity to distribute truth flyers to the visitors to let more people understand the persecution of Falun Gong in China.

After the play, the practitioners performed an exercise demonstration. Many anti-war activists were gathering in the park at the same time, so practitioners saw the chance and immediately decided to perform the trial a second time. Many people on parade stopped to watch the play.

Practitioners also rented a booth at the farmer's market outside the park and introduced Falun Dafa and distributed truth-clarifying materials to the shoppers.
