Hundreds of Falun Gong practitioners from all over the world gathered together in Geneva, at the opening of the 60th United Nation Human Rights Conference, to peacefully appeal for an end to the persecution of Falun Gong in China, which has lasted for 5 years. Geneva Broadcasting station interviewed the Swiss Falun Dafa Association, as well as two practitioners who had personally encountered persecution.
The reporter primarily focused on the understanding of Falun Gong cultivation’s practice method; the benefits of harmonising body and mind; the peaceful nature of Falun Gong and the result of valuing the cultivation of Truth, Compassion, and Forbearance. These special reports introduced Falun Gong to many listeners and made them aware of the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners that is still going on both inside and outside China.
In order to reveal the shocking cruelty of the persecution in China, two Falun Gong practitioners talked about their personal experiences, including being threatened with death and force-fed burning hot peppery liquid. One practitioner took the opportunity to appeal for the rescue of her sister, who is critically ill in a Chinese jail.
The reporter was extremely concerned about the persecution of Falun Gong outside China, which includes the incidents that took place in France in January this year.
When the interview had drawn to a close, the reporter told the participants that he would send a recording of the interview to Africa to reach a greater audience who would feel deeply about the persecution of freedom of belief.
