Mr. Ma Zhongxing, 52, was a Falun Gong practitioner from Shenyang City, Liaoning Province. On January 19, 2000, he went to Beijing to appeal for Dafa and was arrested. He was sentenced to three years of forced labour education and sent to the Longshan Labour Camp in Shenyang.
While in detention, he was brutally tortured. As a result, he developed symptoms of severe heart disease and he vomited blood. In order to evade their responsibility for his condition, the labour camp released him on medical parole. After he returned home, however, the local street committee and Huanghai police station took turns harassing him. On November 1, 2001, he passed away.
