Hunan Province Practitioner Mr. Pan Jianjun Tortured to Death

Mr. Pan Jianjun was 33 years old and a Falun Dafa practitioner from Yuanling County, Hunan Province.

At the end of 2001, he was arrested when passing out materials exposing the persecution at his friend's house. After being sentenced to 3 years in a labour camp, he was sent to the Xinkaipu Labour Camp in Changsha City, Hunan Province. Because he was betrayed by collaborators, his term was increased to 4 years. Someone saw him there in August 2003. He looked like skin and bones, his lower back was injured and there were wounds on his body. After he went on a hunger strike for 20 days in October 2003, his term was extended to 7 years, He was sent to Jinshi Prison in Changde City, Hunan Province. At one point, he passed out, but woke up when the prison police were ready to send him to be cremated. He was assigned to the "Strictly Monitored Group" in the No.6 Ward.

He was transferred to an unknown labour camp at the end of 2003. On February 5, 2004, the Prison Administration notified his family that he had died.
