Dafa practitioner Mr. Song Youchun was from the Xinzhou Area of Shanxi Province. He went to Beijing to appeal for Falun Gong in the year 2000 and was tortured to death at a labour camp. He was only thirty years old at the time of his death.
Song Youchun started practising Falun Gong when he was a college student at Linfen Normal College. After graduation, he became a teacher at Dai County No. 2 High School. Except for a younger brother, the rest of his family, including his wife and parents are all Dafa practitioners. They had a happy family.
In January 2001, we learned from people in Song's village that Song was sentenced to forced labour for going to Beijing to appeal for Dafa in the year 2000. He suffered brutal torture at a labour camp and was in critical condition. To avoid being responsible for his death, the labour camp notified Song's family to take him home. Song died not long after he came home. He was only 30 years old, and he left behind his wife, a very young child and elderly parents.
