June the 13th was the day of the Arivika Hamnfestival. Last year, practitioners dressed in yellow and joined the festival to promote Falun Dafa and reveal the facts of the persecution taking place in China. This year, practitioners were invited by the local authorities to introduce Falun Gong at the festival.
Many local inhabitants had already heard something about Falun Gong and the brutal persecution of millions of practitioners in the mainland by the political group around Jiang Zemin.
Hundreds of balloons with words reading “Falun Gong - Truthfulness, Benevolence, Forbearance” were distributed to smiling children throughout the day, which created an opportunity for their parents to learn a bit more about Falun Gong. The event was also a chance for people, who have been eager to practise Falun Gong for a long time, to make contact with local practitioners. One Chinese visitor did not take the materials, but he was aware of the situation of Falun Gong in China, hoping it would soon change and make China a better place.
