After hearing that Jiang’s accomplice Zeng Qinghong, who has played a big role in the campaign of genocide waged against Falun Dafa in China over the last 5 years, had visited South Africa and been involved in hiring thugs to shoot Dafa practitioners who were to file a lawsuit against him, Irish practitioners held a peaceful appeal outside of the Chinese Embassy. The appeal lasted two days, starting on the 29th of June and ending with a press conference on the afternoon of the 30th. The practitioners hoped to let more members of the public know about Jiang’s campaign of state terrorism in China and his attempts to export this persecution to the west. They called for the international community to join them in calling for an end to the crimes against humanity committed by Jiang and his regime.
Zhao Ming, a graduate of Trinity College in Dublin who was imprisoned in slave labour camps for 2 years where he suffered torture and ill treatment because he refused to renounce his belief in Falun Gong, said the following to a journalist at the press conference: “The recent shooting of Falun Gong practitioners that happened in South Africa fully exposed the sharp contrast between Falun Gong practitioners’ peaceful resilience and the violence of Jiang’s gangster regime who persecute Falun Gong. Actually when I was in China I saw a lot of this kind of thing. At labour camps and prisons, police widely use the criminals and hooligans to persecute Falun Gong practitioners and to put them under surveillance. Once I was beaten by ten prisoners in Tuanhe Labour Camp and this was instigated by a police officer who gave the order to a well-known gangster who then asked other prisoners to do it.”
Zhao Ming continued, “Shooting Falun Gong practitioners has happened many times in China. Policeman in many areas have revealed one of their secret orders: It is permitted to shoot Falun Gong practitioners who are seen posting leaflets. The police from certain areas extorted confessions by cruel torture after they shot Falun Gong practitioners. They forced them to falsely confess that they attacked the police. They use this way to shirk their responsibility. Therefore, the shooting of Falun Gong practitioners in South Africa has indicated that Jiang’s regime have spread their acts of state terrorism overseas. The international community should all be concerned about this kind of issue, condemn this act and not allow this kind of terrorism to happen again.”
