Denmark: Commemorating Five Years of Persecution

The 20th of July marks five years of the Jiang regime’s persecution against Falun Gong. Danish Dafa practitioners held a series of activities with the theme “Against the persecution, Against terrorism, Explain the Facts” in Copenhagen, the capital city of Denmark.

In northern Europe it is summertime and Copenhagen is full of people. Danish practitioners went to an area for pedestrians in the city centre. There, they disclosed the truth of the persecution to local people and tourists from all over the world and let them know that Falun Gong is good. They also revealed the regime’s most recent terrorist activity of hiring assassins in South Africa to shoot Dafa practitioners.

The Dafa practitioners made special banners and used photographs of the torture to call for people’s concern over the genocide happening in China now. They would like people to know the huge suffering and sacrifice Dafa practitioners have endured during these five years of being persecuted for their belief in “Truthfulness, Compassion & Tolerance”.

Many people who came from different countries and social backgrounds were carefully reading our pictures, banners and leaflets. They also watched demonstrations of the five sets of Falun Gong exercises and talked with practitioners. A little girl came to us again and again to watch the exercise demonstration very carefully. Though her parents hastened to go, she still didn’t want to move.

In a few hours, thousands of leaflets were given out. A few girls who were from the northeast of China especially approached practitioners to tell them that when they were in China, the schoolteacher they respected was a Falun Gong practitioner. He had told them the truth of Falun Gong; he also had helped them to differentiate between the truth and the falsehood regarding the “Tiananmen self-immolation” issue. They said to us sincerely, “We wish you success!”

In the evening, practitioners gathered at the Chinese Embassy. They hung banners with the words “End the Five Years of Persecution!” and “Strongly Oppose the Jiang Regime Hiring Assassins to Murder People!” in both English and Chinese. An elderly Danish gentleman passed us driving a car very slowly. He pulled up close by and got out of the car with great difficulty. Then he put his hands together to send his regards to us quietly. All the support and sympathy which can be said in thousands of words were all expressed in one silent action.
