Detention Centre Illegally Detains Falun Dafa Practitioners Indefinitely

Over the past two years plus, many Falun Gong practitioners have been illegally detained in the Sa District Detention Centre in the city of Daqing. Practitioner Zhang Tieyan was tortured to death during her illegal detention here. There are over 20 Falun Dafa practitioners presently being detained here. One of the practitioners, Deng Yunhong, went to appeal to one of the related departments of the provincial government and was immediately arrested. She had already previously been illegally detained for quite a long time so her physical condition was very weak. This time, both the Labour camp and the detention Centre did not dare to take her in. However, the Sa District Detention Centre was willing to illegally detain her for a long period of time, regardless of her physical condition. Recently, they arbitrarily extended her term by another two months.

Deng has reported her situation many times to Cheng, the director, as well as to other officials in the detention Centre, but they have either evaded her or refused to meet with her. To this day, no one has given consideration to the issue of the "unconditional release" that the practitioners have put forward.
