Ms. Wang Qiuling was a 50 year-old farmer who lived in Huairou County, Beijing. She was arrested and detained by the Huairou County "610 Office" (1) and police in the County Detention Centre in 2001 because of her firm belief in Falun Dafa. She died after going through numerous tortures. The "610 Office" and police refused to let her family see her body and secretly had her cremated.

(1) "The 610 office" is an agency specifically created to persecute Falun Gong, with absolute power over each level of administration in the Party and all other political and judiciary systems.
