Since the persecution of Falun Gong began in 1999, Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Yin Huafeng from Mianyag City, Sichuan Province had been persecuted by twenty-three different units and detained seven times within sixteen months. She was sentenced to forced labour three times, and forced to become homeless for more than two years. She was tortured repeatedly, and died on March 8, 2005.
Ms. Yin Huafeng , 52 years old, lived in Mianyang City, Sichuan Province. She was forced to retire early due to poor health. However, after she began practising Falun Dafa in 1996, her health dramatically improved. She benefited a great deal from the practice, yet she was brutally tortured after the Jiang Zemin regime started to persecute Falun Gong in 1999.
She went to Beijing to appeal at the end of 1999, was arrested and sent back to Mianyang City. She went to Beijing again in the beginning of 2000, and was arrested and detained. After being released, she was forced to become homeless in order to avoid being arrested at home.
In August 2002, she was arrested for passing out leaflets exposing the persecution. She was held at Chengdu City Detention Centre until November 2003. She had been tortured there for 15 months. Finally she was diagnosed with high blood pressure, heart disease, and hepatitis B at hospital on November 3, 2003. She was sent back to her residential region.
Ms. Yin Huafeng was persecuted by local authorities and again sentenced to 18 months forced labour (on medical parole). She was often closely monitored, and died on March 8, 2005.
