On the afternoon of Saturday May 14th, Belgian Falun Gong practitioners and some Swiss and Dutch practitioners held an activity at La Monnaie Square in the centre of Brussels, the capital city of Belgium, to celebrate the 6th World Falun Dafa Day and the 13th anniversary of Falun Gong being introduced to the public. They also wished happy birthday to Falun Gong founder Master Li Hongzhi.
Posters, banners and leaflets in Chinese, English, French and Dutch were prepared to give out to the public. As soon as the Falun Gong exercise music started, lots of people gathered around, asked for leaflets and watching practitioners’ exercise demonstration. A few practitioners answered questions from the public. People were interested to know where they could buy Falun Gong books and the location of the nearest exercise practice site.
A waist-drum group organised by local practitioners appeared in front of the people for their first time and they were very popular. For several new practitioners, this was the first time they had taken part in this kind of activity and they worked hard to make the activity a success. Both Sound of Hope Radio and NTDTV interviewed practitioners and reported on the activities.
