Ten Practitioners Who Died as a Result of Persecution

Falun Dafa Practitioners Ms. Yang Xianmei, Ms. Sun Aihua and Mr. Wu Liangyou Died as a Result of Persecution

Ms. Yang Xianmei was a 35 year-old lady who lived in a village in Xuanhua County, Zhangjiakou City, Hebei Province. She began to cultivate Falun Dafa in July 1998. Before practising Falun Dafa, she had colon cancer and even after going through surgery, the doctor said that she would live for another three years at most. However, through practising Falun Dafa, she became healthy again. Since the persecution began on July 20, 1999, the local police often harassed and threatened her. Over the years, such prolonged mental stress made her ill and she died in 2005.

Ms. Sun Aihua was a Falun Dafa practitioner who lived in a village near Qixia City, Shandong Province. In May 2003, she was arrested by Qixia City government personnel and taken to a brainwashing centre. On her second day at the centre, the physical showed that she was unfit and should not stay any longer. Thus, three policemen carried her home. A few months later, Ms. Sun Aihua died of illnesses, leaving behind a daughter (8 years old) and a son (9 years old).

Mr. Wu Liangyou was a Falun Dafa practitioner from Zhaoyuan County, Heilongjiang Province. In November, 2000, he went to tell people the truth about Falun Dafa and expose the persecution to the Maoxing Town government. As a result, he was detained and suffered both physically and mentally. This caused his old illnesses to recur and he died on August 6, 2003.

Another Falun Dafa Practitioner Died from Injustice in Baoji City, Shaanxi Province

Mr. Ma Laidong was a Falun Dafa practitioner who lived in Fufeng County, Baoji City, Shaanxi Province. He was repeatedly persecuted and died in October 2004.

Before practising Falun Dafa, Mr. Ma suffered from many illnesses, and he was often lethargic. Therefore, he could not work, and when his illnesses became serious, he would become immobile. Although he often visited the hospital, his illnesses were not cured. Not even practising qigong could cure his illnesses. However, after practising Falun Dafa, all his illnesses were gone and he felt light and full of energy.

From July 2001 to August 2002, Mr. Ma was repeatedly persecuted for telling people the truth about Falun Dafa and explaining that practitioners are innocent people being wrongfully persecuted as well as handing out leaflets exposing the persecution to the public. He had been sent to detention centres and brainwashing centres, where he was cruelly tortured. After being released, he was often followed and monitored. They also forced him not to practise Falun Dafa, thus his past illnesses recurred and he became extremely weak. He died in October 2004.

Six Elderly Practitioners Are Persecuted to Death

Mr. Lin Chengliu was a 72 year-old man who lived in Langzhong City, Sichuan Province. On Chinese New Year's Eve 2001, he was abducted from his home by local policemen. Then he was detained in a local detention centre. The local lawless officials and policemen in Langzhong City had severely persecuted up to twenty Falun Dafa practitioners at that time. Mr. Lin's hypertension recurred after his persecution, and he died on April 5, 2005.

Ms. Zhu Zhengfang was an 88 year-old lady from Xuancheng District, Anhui Province. Before July 20, 1999, many Falun Dafa practitioners went to her house to study the Falun Dafa teachings and do the exercises. They persevered in practising the exercises even when it was raining. Despite being illiterate, she never failed to listen carefully when other practitioners were reciting sections of "Zhuan Falun" (1) during group study. Hence, she benefited both physically and mentally from Falun Dafa. After the persecution began, she was often harassed and many of her family members who went to Beijing to appeal for Falun Dafa were detained. She was physically and mentally devastated by this. One day, she accidentally fell to the ground and had been ill ever since. The police used this opportunity to visit her once every few days, and would capture any Falun Dafa practitioner who visited her. So her daughter could not visit her. Ms. Zhu Zhengfang did not say anything but cried everyday in bed. She died at 8 p.m. on December 31, 1999.

Ms. Li Cuiwen was an 87 year-old lady from Nongan County, Jilin Province. After started to practise Falun Dafa in 1997, all her diseases disappeared. However, since the persecution of Falun Dafa started, she was often harassed. On a night in 2003, her son was illegally arrested and sent to a forced labour camp by the local county police. As a result, she suffered both physically and mentally, and even her daughter-in-law fell ill. They have had a hard life ever since. Ms. Li Cuiwen died on June 18, 2004.

Mr. Cai Guancheng was a 73 year-old retired worker from the First Construction Company of Beian City, Heilongjiang Province. He used to suffer from various illnesses until after practising Falun Dafa in 1996. Since the persecution began, he was repeatedly harassed and threatened by the local police. As he was afraid of being persecuted, he was forced to give up practising Falun Dafa. Soon, his past illnesses recurred and he even contracted cancer. With the help of other Falun Dafa practitioners, he began to practise Falun Dafa again. His body, however, was extremely weak due to the persecution and he died in the hospital on February 24, 2003.

Mr. Liu Yubin was a 72 year-old man who started practising Falun Dafa in 1997. Before practising Falun Dafa, he had many illnesses including inflammation of his liver. Since he started practising, he no longer had any illnesses and he was very healthy. After the persecution began, he had no environment suitable for studying the Falun Dafa teachings and group exercise. This was worsened as he was illiterate, thus studying the teachings by himself was extremely difficult. After a while, his past illnesses recurred and he died on February 17, 2002.

Mr. Zhao Guangyu was a 70-year-old man (possibly from Zhangjiakou City, Hebei Province) who started practising Falun Dafa in 1997. Before practicing Dafa, he suffered from many illnesses such as hepatitis and gallbladder stones. After practising Falun Dafa, all his illnesses miraculously disappeared, and he excreted the gallbladder stone. He became very healthy. However, after the persecution of Falun Dafa by the Jiang Regime on July 20, 1999, the environment for group exercises and study was destroyed. Without this environment, his old illnesses recurred and he left this world in February 2004.
