Police Demand Practitioners Pay a “beating fee”

On December 28, 2001, a dozen practitioners in Heilongjiang Province went to Beijing to appeal. When they were checked for tickets at Harbin City Train Station, they were arrested for not cursing Falun Dafa and were brutally tortured. A female police officer spun around each practitioner after they were hung up in the air, and she kicked them and banged their heads against the wall by grabbing their hair, shouting, "I've been beating people for two, three years"!" Many practitioners lost consciousness from the beating. The vicious police even demanded that everyone pay 200 Yuan [about US$25] for a "beating fee."
