Report on Falun Gong Broadcast as part of the Kosmopolis Documentary on Czech TV

On the evening of Wednesday October 19th, Czech viewers had a chance to watch a ten minute report about the practice of Falun Gong.

The practitioners performed the exercises and briefly informed the viewers about Falun Dafa's principles. One of them shared his experience and said that in the past he had many arguments with other people. Since he started the practise of cultivating Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance, he changed his behaviour and gets along much better with others.

Part of the report took place in Charles Square at a public meeting, the purpose of which was to clarify the truth about the Chinese government alienating practitioners and violating their human rights. It was clearly revealed that the Chinese regime is persecuting Falun Gong because it grew too popular and because people who practise it are truthful. If the Chinese nation would get rid of fear and start to seek the truth, the terrible crimes of the communist regime would be revealed.

The viewers were also provided with an eye witness account of the persecution. A Chinese woman who is now living in Germany visited Prague to talk about the conditions in Chinese labour camps. During her stay in one of these camps, she was asked to give up her faith in the teachings of Falun Gong. When she refused to do so, she was beaten and humiliated. She revealed the fact that it was only because many people signed a petition for her release that she regained her freedom and was sent home after two years of imprisonment.

On the screen there appeared images of brutal methods of torture used against Falun Gong practitioners in labour camps and photographs of practitioners who were tortured. The report also showed Czech Falun Gong websites and the viewers were advised how to learn the exercises and download material from them, and where to find further information on what is happening in China.

At the end, the report showed a video recording of Mr. Li Honghzi, the founder of Falun Gong, demonstrating the meditation exercises.

The documentary revealed the beauty and benevolent nature of Falun Gong and in contrast, the violent nature of the communist regime in China, showing the absurdity of the ongoing persecution of Falun Gong.
