Members of the parish and candidates for confirmation had an opportunity on the 20th of November to listen to songs performed by the European Coming for You Choir, in the church of Charlottenborg in the town of Motala.

Swedish members of the choir met during the weekend of November 18th in Motala to rehearse their repertoire. On Sunday, after two intensive days they headed to the church of Charlottensborg in order to practise in the beautiful acoustics. The church which had a round shape was especially constructed for choral singing. At the end of the Sunday service the choir was invited to sing for the parishioners and some twenty candidates for confirmation.

After the service, the choir were permitted to stay and practise in the church and invited the members of the parish who had stayed for church coffee to listen in if they wished. Some members of the choir explained how the choir was founded and that one sang in order to help to end the persecution of Falun Gong in China.

Before the choir left the church an elderly lady said: "Seldom have I experienced something as good as this, that I did not understand a word of."

Another one said: "It felt like the music penetrated my whole body."

The host of the church said: "We should have this every Sunday."
