Parade procession marches in Chinatown

On March 18th, Falun Gong practitioners held a grand parade in downtown Melbourne. That day, crowds of people packed the streets, and were extremely lively and jolly. Numerous artists displayed excellent performances. The whole city was immersed in liveliness and excitement. Accompanied by orderly and impressive drumbeats and the music, "Falun Dafa is Good," and being led by a police car, the Falun Dafa parade procession, composed of nearly a hundred practitioners, marched through the downtown streets. The whole city seemed to become quiet in an instant. People stopped making noise, and looked at this extraordinary parade procession.

At the front of the procession were three Falun Gong practitioners in bright yellow exercise suits holding three embroidered placards with the words "Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance" respectively. Behind them practitioners carried three embroidered, huge colourful flags. Then came the waist drum group, consisting of more than 30 practitioners and coloured banners bearing the words "Falun Dafa is being spread around the world." The peaceful and magnificent atmosphere amazed the spectators, some of whom said, "This is Falun Gong!"

Following the waist drummers was a group of Falun Gong practitioners in white, each carrying a wreath. In the middle of the wreath was the photo and story of a Falun Gong practitioner who was killed in the persecution. Behind them was a huge banner exposing the appalling horror of the Sujiatun Concentration Camp where living practitioners' organs are removed for transplant. The parade procession spanned over a hundred metres. Amazed at the wonders of Falun Dafa and the great endurance of practitioners in truth clarification, many spectators burst into tears.

When the parade marched through Chinatown, when a Chinese man saw the huge banner reading "the CCP built Sujiatun Concentration Camp to harvest Falun Gong practitioners' organs for profit," he could not help shouting, "Down with the CCP!"

After the parade, the practitioners held a rally at City Square, condemning the CCP's barbarous atrocities. Coordinator of the Victoria Falun Dafa Association Michael Pierson, representative of the World Organization to Investigate the Persecution of Falun Gong (WOIPFG) Fan Huiqiang, a Falun Gong practitioner from China and former Olympic Swimming medal winner and Falun Gong practitioner Jan Becker made speeches respectively.

Representative of WOIPFG Fan Huiqiang read WOIPFG's announcement of launching a thorough investigation of those suspects who have been involved in killing Falun Gong practitioners at the Sujiatun Concentration Camp. The announcement stated that all perpetrators participating in the Sujiatun Concentration Camp, no matter where they try to hide, will surely be brought to justice, no matter how long it takes. All participants will be charged with torture and genocide, the excuse of "just carrying out orders" will not be accepted, and they will be put on trial. The perpetrators at the Sujiatun Concentration Camp will receive the same fate as the Nazi perpetrators at the Nuremburg trials!

Jan Becker said that she started practising Falun Gong in 1999 when the CCP started the persecution of Falun Gong. It has been seven years. During this time she has deeply felt the beauty of Falun Dafa. She called for everyone to support Falun Gong practitioners in China and called upon the government to condemn the CCP's atrocities and stop the persecution."
