Austria: Practitioners in Austria Expose the CCP’s Brutality at the Asian-European Finance and Economics Minister's Talk

From April 7th until April 9th, 2006, the Asian-European Finance and Economics Minister's talk was held in Vienna, Austria. This meeting was a summit for finance and economics ministers from twenty five European and thirteen Asian countries including China. In the evening of the 7th and the morning of the 8th and the 9th, Falun Gong practitioners conducted a peaceful protest outside the front gate of Hofburg Square against the persecution of Falun Gong by the Chinese Communist Party, in particular the removal of organs from live practitioners and later cremation of the bodies to eliminate the evidence.

Vienna in early spring was particularly beautiful. The capital of music welcomed another tourist season. The streets were crowded. The activity by Falun Gong practitioners attracted a large number of visitors who stopped to watch. Graceful exercises and the banners formed a sharp contrast to the photos on exhibition boards that revealed the truth of the persecution. When people learned about the removal of organs from live Falun Gong practitioners, they were shocked. A lot of people enquired whether they could sign their names to show support for the practitioners and asked how they could help. A Jewish descendant said that it was no different from the Nazis. He has heard about the news of the persecution of Falun Gong in other places.

A visitor from Germany told the practitioners that they saw the activity by Falun Gong practitioners revealing concentration camps while they were travelling in Hong Kong last week. A local resident heard about the practitioner's explanation and said that people should not go to China.

A young man from China told the practitioners that he and his friends can break through the blockade and see the Chinese website abroad. They knew the truth of the persecution.

A group of tourists from China saw the activities and were surprised at the prevalence of Falun Gong.

In the evening of April 8th, Falun Gong practitioners went to a venue for their next meeting, the famous summer palace, the beautiful Schoenbrunn. Opposite the main entrance of the palace, the practitioners held banners and slogans and practised the exercises. Cars carrying representatives to the meeting passed by the practitioners slowly. People in their cars saw the banners about the CCP's concentration camps. The practitioners originally applied for this activity at 7:30 in the evening, yet the police on duty especially told the practitioners to arrive at 7 o'clock, otherwise it would be too late.

In the morning of April 9th, which was the last day of the meeting, Falun Gong practitioners appeared at the meeting venue again. The representatives of various countries to the conference had another opportunity to see the shocking exhibition boards and banners. They saw Falun Gong practitioners dressed neatly in yellow outfits practising the exercises in a happy manner and repeatedly looked back.

This year, Austria holds the presidency of the European Union. Falun Gong practitioners in Austria made more efforts to reveal the CCP's persecution of Falun Gong practitioners to the representatives and people in Austria in order to stop the persecution as soon as possible.
