Falun Gong Activities in Denmark During the Chinese New Year Celebration

1. Awakening people with great compassion
On Sunday February 10, the Chinese Embassy held a Chinese New Year celebration dinner, and Chinese people from all walks of life in Denmark attended the celebration. About 90 Dafa [Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance] practitioners from nine European countries arrived at the front of the Embassy to clarify the truth of Falun Dafa to the attendees.

At about 12:00 p.m. the guests arrived, one after another. We queued up in a long line, holding banners that read, "Falun Dafa is good," "Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance," "Happy New Year, fellow Chinese friends" and so on. Dafa practitioners started to sing, "Falun Dafa is good," and gave VCDs to every fellow Chinese who came here, greeting them with smiles. Some started to read eagerly immediately upon accepting our truth-clarifying materials. The service staff at the Embassy also could not help stealthily watching from the windows and doors.

Thinking about many Chinese people who were still deceived by the slander and whose lives were in danger, many Dafa practitioners could not help bursting into tears. Practitioners kept singing "Falun Dafa is good" again and again for two whole hours, overflowing with compassion. We did the righteous thoughts meditation periodically. In the piercing cold wind, practitioners called out from their hearts to the precious Chinese people lost in delusion. To those who witnessed this scene, they must have been deeply touched.

2. I want to start cultivating Dafa anew
One day, a practitioner received a phone call from a young man who had practiced Falun Gong prior to 1999 but stopped cultivation after July 1999 [when the persecution of Falun Gong started]. During the conversation, he cautioned fearfully many times, "You must be careful." He even dared not to leave his name. It seemed that China's ruling dictator and his brutal persecution have made people's hearts flutter with fear of his tyranny, even when they are overseas.

On February 9, this person found us during Denmark's Chinese New Year celebration. He was deeply moved by the practitioners' selfless spirit of clarifying the truth and offering salvation to people. He said that his fear suddenly disappeared as soon as he came close to us and that his righteous thoughts became strengthened at once. He then handed out a lot of truth-clarifying flyers together with us. He also said that he used to think Dafa was simply a kind of Qigong, but this persecution has actually made him think seriously and read the Fa [the principles of Falun Gong].

3. The evil exposed themselves
During this celebration we also gave Chinese children lots of balloons bearing the characters "Falun Dafa" and "Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance." The children excitedly held their colourful balloons. However, several who were instigated by the evil dared not see these beautiful things. The embassy representatives made a regulation that everyone who wanted to be admitted for the performance had to destroy the balloons. Many Chinese children had to helplessly watch sadly as their parents popped their balloons.

We could not help sighing. The Chinese dictator's evil gang would not even make an exception with overseas Chinese children. The balloons can be destroyed, but the indelible memory of the tyranny and the evil's persecution against the people will remain in the hearts of these young children.

4. Fake news report
For this "civilian" celebration, the Chinese Embassy representatives invited China Central Television (CCTV), Beijing Television (BJTV) and journalists from several major Chinese news agencies. Hearing that Falun Gong practitioners would also attend this event, they exerted pressure on the local police, but Denmark is a democratic country. It won't wilfully deprive people of their rights. So the embassy people could do nothing, and people saw Falun Dafa balloons everywhere!

A CCTV reporter was utterly disconcerted, "Get those balloons out of here! Falun Dafa is everywhere in my shoot, even the montage wouldn't work. How can I complete my duty and report to my supervisor?"

At last, in order to escape from Dafa balloons and the practitioners' yellow T-shirts, the embassy people had to close the door to show the "live broadcast" of the performances. Guests were admitted only if they held tickets.

5. Truth-clarifying VCDs rectified people's hearts
During this large-scale Chinese community activity, almost all the attending Chinese got the opportunity to know the truth of Dafa. We handed out several thousand copies of truth-clarifying materials and VCDs in Chinese and over ten thousand copies of truth-clarifying flyers in Danish and English.

The truth-clarifying VCDs are especially effective in helping people to get to know the truth. Since then I have received many phone calls. Some could not help crying after watching the VCDs. Others who had misunderstandings about Dafa have changed their views after watching. Some expressed their admiration of practitioners' in making VCD of such high quality and good content. There are also many sympathetic people showing their encouragement and support.

People in society have started to know the truth and support justice.
