Mr Zheng Dejun Brutally Persecuted in the Shayang Forced Labour Camp in Hubei Province

Falun Dafa practitioner Mr. Zheng Dejun was imprisoned and persecuted in Shayang Labour Camp in Hubei Province. Since July 2005, he has been brutally tortured. The camp did not allow his family to visit him, and his parents have not heard anything from him for almost a year.

When the persecution began on July 20th, 1999, Zheng Dejun, 29, was one of the first practitioners who went to Beijing to appeal. In the second half of 1999 he was sentenced to a forced labour camp for three years. In the second half of 2002 when he was released, he was sent to the hospital for emergency care as a result of the severe persecution . He could not walk and his family members had to carry him home on their backs.

In late 2002, Yichang City Gezhouba Pinghu Police sub-Station Security Branch arrested Zheng Dejun at his new workplace. When Zheng Dejun was detained, he was mercilessly beaten by director Zhang and the inmates in the detention centre. Later he was sentenced to the forced labour camp for three years.

In Shayang Labour Camp, Zheng Dejun did not cooperate with the evildoers. He was inhumanely tortured by the wardens and inmates, and was beaten in a small room, deprived of sleep, etc. His older parents travelled a long distance to visit him, but the guards would not allow them to see him. The guards even threatened to detain his parents in the camp.

In July 2005, Shayang Labour Camp added six months to his term because Zheng Dejun did not announce his name, did not report his number, and did not sing the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) anthem. Since July 2005, Zheng Dejun has been confined in a small room and deprived of sleep in Shayang Labour Camp. He was often brutally beaten by Warden Yu Bangqing. Zheng Dejun's parents were not allowed to visit him for nearly one year and have not heard anything about him.

Falun Data practitioners who are being persecuted include Zheng Dejun, Wang Yunhong, Zhang Long, Zou Yuantao, Zhu Zhengzhong, and Cen Xuedong.
