Indonesia: Anti-Torture Exhibition and Candlelight Vigil Held to Awaken People's Conscience

In order to protest the Chinese Communist Party's (CCP's) atrocities of forcefully harvesting organs from living Falun Gong practitioners in the mainland, Falun Gong practitioners in East Java of Indonesia once again gathered in Surabaya. They performed a short play to expose the CCP's organ harvesting from living Falun Gong practitioners and held a candlelight vigil to condemn the CCP's violation of human rights and to call for an immediate end to the CCP's slaughter.

At 4:30 p.m. on July 29th, 2006, Falun Gong practitioners from different places of East Java gathered at a junction of five streets near Surabaya Train Station. The activities began with a short play that exposed the CCP's harvesting organs from living Falun Gong practitioners. The play drew the attention of many passersby. After the practitioners' explanation and learning about the facts, many people condemned the CCP's atrocities.

Dr. Aruchat Djaswadi makes a speech

Chairman of the Indonesia Community Investigation Organization Dr. Aruchat Djaswadi made a speech at the event. He called for an end to the CCP's persecution and encouraged practitioners to continue 'in their efforts.

The two-hour activity concluded with a candlelight vigil 'to commemorate practitioners in China who have passed away as a result of the persecution.
